What is the .dpx file and why can't I export it?
The .dpx file format is the format Q3D Scan uses in Free mode to store your scan data. It is designed to allow users to explore Q3D Scan before purchasing a license, and as a result, these files cannot be converted to other formats. However, if you still have the option to activate a Trial, doing so will grant you full functionality for 7 days. Any scans captured during the Trial period will have complete .dp capability.
Please be aware that scans saved in the .dpx format cannot be converted even after purchasing a subscription, and should only be used for evaluation purposes while deciding whether Q3D Scan is the right fit for you.
Q3D Scan will alert you when a scan you are about to start will be saved in the .dpx format. Look for the following warning on your screen in that situation.
